Let's have a meeting to plan more get together's!

Okay - we need to have a meeting ASAP. I'm open to suggestions as to when/where. I was hoping that now that the weather is starting to break we'll get a good turnout.
I know gas is getting very pricey but I'd really like to plan on some get togethers that more of the NY members can attend. I found a new off road park in PA right near Paragon - maybe we can hit both in 1 trip. There's also the Carlisle Truck Show in PA & Bloomsburg. I've been to Carlisle & it was awesome. Or, we can try the 4WD only show in Lima, OH - that was the best IMHO. If anyone knows of other events post them in a seperate posts ok? Let's generate some interest here!
So - hit me with some ideas for our next meeting but be gentle - I bruise easily! LOL!

how bout even just a simple BBQ somewhere maybe midstate( catskill region somewhere)?????????????

Great idea! Maybe 1 of the members from that reigon would like to "host" it by finding a spot for us to meet/greet/eat!
Anybody want to try for July 4th weekend? The 4th is a Mon & most would have that day off anyhow?
Comments? Suggestions? Offers?

I'm all for a meet and greet in the Catskills like what JD mentioned. The only problem I have is with the weekend of the 4th of July. I always have that weekend booked with family and friend's parties. If another date works for everyone let me know.

Another possibility is to do some smaller regional meetings while we are planning a statewide meeting. There seems to be clusters of us in the Long Island, Syracuse/Utica/Binghamton, and Western NY areas. Possibly JD could help with the Long Island one, maybe Chris (Ozzy460) in the Syracuse/Utica/Binghamton area, and I would be willing to help for the Western NY area. Maybe we can get some momentum going with the smaller meetings to spark some interest.

Hey Cowlady, a lil off topic but mabe you could pin a topic at the top for all the shows. We could make it into somewhat of a calender for any one interested.

We could also plan to meet up at the shows as well. Like a mini meet and greet.

regional meetings would work well as well but we should still have a statewide meet.

Yep I agree. I am just thinking that maybe we could get some momentum going and gain some interest if we had some regional meetings to start with while we plan a statewide meeting.

I also think that 86moneypit has a good idea in doing mini meets at any kind of events such as car/truck shows, racing events, etc.

Also Ronin with the "mini meets" if we can get a groups of us going to the different shows in force, we would also be promoting the site.

Okay - thanks for all the great feedback! I am uip for mini meets & at least 1 statewide this summer.
Here's what I need everyone to do - when you hear of a show or event, post a seperate post for it. This way we can get some idea of the interest level & who'd attend. I know with ga$ price$ we have to pick & choose but I knopw we can find some events for all of us!
I'll be posting a seperate post w/a website for shows - there's quite a few in NYS! Look it over & let everyone know which ones you may have gone to/heard of.
Let's get moving on this - spring is ALMOST here & summer is supposed to be right behind it! LOL!

Iam up for a catskill trip with a BBQ sounds like a plan,I am pretty new member and want to meet alot of you,you have been a help with me and truck 1998 F150 so if you get a date time and place let me know and i

FordTuff1 They do hold shows at Bearmountain on Wedsday nights. One of the guys who runs the shows is in Boy Scouts and the OA with me so I am hoping to trck him down and get information on the shows.

There is also the show that my own town puts on once or twice in the summer they allow any vehicles i will give you more info when they come around.
