If I were to install a horn that sounds at 134db in my F-150, would this breaking any laws in the state of MN for noise? Any comments are of help, thanks.

 

Who cares, you know the old saying-loud pipes save lives. If you like it put it on!

 

As long as you have a horn thats all that matters. Now removing your horn on the other hand can get you a ticket. Besides, what would be the difference between that horn and an air horn on a big rig. Although if you use it with deliquent intent, im sure you can wind up in trouble. Basically your not even supposed to use a regular horn unless its for warning or an emergency. Sitting outside someones house railing on the horn to get their attention is against the law. And gets on a lot of peoples nerves. There has been a couple of times at were I would have like to have taken a wire cutters to someones positive battery cable.

 

That damn anti-theft horn. How maney times have you heard that in a parking lot.

hey popular hotrodding or one of those mags did a test in New York on those alarm horns they put a car on a street, and set it off to see what would happen after 10min some one broke into the car,a nd stole the stereo, 5min later someone came, and stole the tires, some one else broke all the windows, and keyed the side after about 45 min the cops showed up, and wrote a ticket for disturbing the piece, and left it on what was left fo the window.
