3.8L Forum?

3.8L Forum?

I was wondering why this is now the 3.8 & 4.2L forum? I can't recall ANY ford TRUCKS with the 3.8L. Any help here Brian? Is this for the stang guys who ask about it??

My understanding is that the 3.8 was used in some early 80's F150 trucks.
I also understand the 4.2 is an offspring of the 3.8.
Since the 3.8 was offered in some Ford trucks, and it is in the same family as the 4.2, Admin broadened the scope of this forum to include the 3.8.
I support the move. Why? Because there are Ford trucks out there with 3.8 motors in them and we might be able to help somebody some day.

BTW, No, it is not for the Mustang crowd. They are welcome (from my point of view) to participate here as they are part of the Ford family, have always been polite and helpful, and have never tried to hijack anything to turn it into a Mustang thread or forum.

It's all cool in my book.

Also, since the 4.2 is a stroked out 3.8, all the internals are interchangable. So someone wanting a.....say cam for the 4.2 can be referred to a cam for the 3.8

I dont know what the point of me saying that was.....
