oddly enough i got a new truck, and i know nothing about it, i dont no the year, model, or nothing. all i know is the whole drivetrain is there but the engine and its 4 wheel drive. and i know that the bed is loaded with radiators, trannys, driveshafts, and t-cases. im guessing its not that old, cause it had a engine worth takin. will a 351 drop into just about anything? i got to go get the truck saturday, and haul it home. im gonna try and get what money i can outa the scrap in the bed, cause thats the whole reason he gave it to me, was for scrap. i figure we got some 351's in the j-yard so i could drop one in there and beat the heck outa it in the feilds.
a 351W should, but the trans will be the next problem, if it doesn't have the right bell housing. Good luck with it, hope it turns out to be good deal for you.

It'll be interesting to see if the codes are there and readable on the door jamb. At least then you can ID the tranny and know the year built, etc. Best of all you'll know what engine WAS in it - hopefully it has the original perches in it too so you can just drop in an engine.
Probably be an old registration in the glove bos that'll have some good info ( I'm guessing there is no title in this deal.)
yea, i got a trailer so i got to go pick it up on saturday. if its not worth keeping, ill pull what i want off it, and run it down to the steel yard. 5 cents a pound, so itll be a pretty penny for all the copper and aluminum in the back. yea your right, no title. i figure if its worth keeping ill just wheel around in it in the fields and whatnot.
well it came with two working t-cases, dont know what they came off but there there. theres 2 hoods in the back im guessing for this truck. it has a relatively new steering stabilizer on it, it was his beater truck, for the fields and whatnot. so i got a steering stabilizer for my 88. its got a pretty new set of warn hubs on it too. thats bout it. besides the frame is in pretty good shape.
