Expedition Exhaust

Hello:

I have an 02 Expedition with the 5.4 in it. I was wondering if any of you have put a different exhaust on to give it a little bit more rumble not a lot but a little.

A lot of different options & opinions... you just need to use the search function.

Search under FlowMaster. I added a cat back Force II model to my 99. The wife figured it out when she complained about the noise and I just grinned.

Gibson makes a 3" single outlet that rumbles a little and is hard to hear it at highway speed. I installed in on my 99 in about 1.5 hrs.

Hello:

After doing a fair amount of investigation i had the Flowmaster 50 series SUV performance muffler put on along with dual outs. Its not super loud but it does have a very nice rumble to it. A much better sound than stock. I am very pleased.

I also have added a Flowmaster cat-back kit to my '99 XLT and I love it. Sounds great, not too loud. Not difficult to install either. Provided you have the proper environment to do it in. Purchased the kit from www.summitracing.com price wasn't too bad.

Glad to hear you like the exhaust. The 5.4 engines sure sound sweet with a 50 series exhaust

Hello:

I had series 50 installed at the local shop. The muffler with all the pipe custom bent for the dual out was 290.00. I didnt figure that was to bad.

Wes64052 Does your truck have a tow hitch when you had the dual tip exhaust put in.

Hello:

Yes it does have the tow hitch. I had the pipes go out the side. They look the same as the factory as far as the direction they come out, except now there is one of the other side.
