check susp

I have a 1998 navi when i start the truck about 3 to 5 minutes later the check susp light comes on ...my truck sits level, it doesn't lose air, but i don't hear the pump kick in, what should i check first.. can it be a relay? please help

Before you do anything else .......... unplug and replug (several times) the "relay" behind the drivers side front bumper ........... look for a "can" type device with 4 wires (2 small + 2 larger) plugged in.

Check the connections for corrosion or poor contact as well .........

This might very well be the only thing wrong!

OOPS ............. I meant to say "behind the passenger side front bumper"
