NEW! Fairbanks Meet & Greet!

April 23, 2005 (Saturday) at 7:00 p.m. will be the Second Official Meet & Greet for the Fairbanks group.

It will be at Player's Grill on Airport Road. The last meeting we had there was really nice...parking was good, quiet atmosphere, and not too crowded.

This is going to be another informal get-together.
Of course ALL family members are invited!

I showed up there tonight (Saturday March 26th). I don't know why I thought this was the date we talked about. I came home and checked the forum and found the REAL date. I did run in to Hawkins and his family there.

I'll be there NEXT month for the meeting. Hopefully things are dried up by then and I can keep my truck clean. We need to start thinking about a show and shine.

Sorry about the misunderstanding on the meeting. But you and Hawkins will get credit for trying!

The show and shine idea is a good one and we can start working on it after we nail down the Memorial Day Gathering.

For those of us who haven't meet each other, is there a reserved table or do we just need to ask the hostess for FTE or Wes?

I will leave word with the hostess that I will be expecting others from FTE to show up. Just tell her/him that you are with FTE and that should get you to the right place!

Well the meet wasn't much to miss, unfortunately...only three people showed up - TT, PeeWee and Myself (and peewee and I are married!) so there wasn't much of a meeting. It was nice to meet Twin Tritons but as far as anything more than that, it didn't happen. Hopefully there will be a better turnout for the Memorial Day Gathering.

As we all know, Alaskans are so busy during the summer. It is difficult for people to set asided time to try get together with others from FTE. With one a month or every two month get togethers, you may not be able to meet others in our chapter for quite some time.

What does everyone think of more frequent, informal get togethers. Say like meet for coffee someplace every Saturday morning? I am gone 1/2 the time, but I could make two Saturdays a month. Personnally, I am usually free early in the day or later in the day. I don't think morning coffee would interfer with my weekend plans too much. Who nows, it might even get me out of the house sooner and be able to get more done that day
