Question Disc Brake Conv.

Ok, I searched this forum and have not seen this question yet....

I have a 72 f-100, I also have a 71 f250 donor. I have read I can use the nessesary parts to convert my 72 to disc brakes. However I do not want to have 8 lugs on my 1/2 ton. Can I buy new rotors for a 1/2 ton and make it work?

I think things are different with both of your trucks. I changed my 67 f100 to discs off a 76 f150. It isn't on the road but I bet it will be great. As long as the rotor bearing housings are the same I don't see why this wouldn't work. But I believe the f250s have bigger bearings to bear more load.

4Cammer72 is starting off with a positive reputation.
the spindles are where you want to be the same. if the bearing set for the five lug rotors will fit the spindle you are good . i dont know if they are the same off hand but that is what you need to check.. i also think the calipers are different than the f100 too. not positive though.

Shane, Ya just got the wrong donor, bud. If it's 5 lug 5 on 5.5 that ya gotta have, find a 73-79 F100/150 donor and you'll be in bidness.
