Limited Slip rear end
Does that price quote installation? If so, go for it. If not, start asking a lot of questions: What brand? What warranty?
What level of part is it?
LS go around $250-$300, but you can do quite a bit better by getting apples-apples prices from the mail order discount houses, and if you play it right you can beat up the local guys pretty well on parts.

I replaced the 3.31 gears and open diff in my '95 F-150 with a 3.73 and Ford Traclock. The whole thing including instllation was around $800.00. I used Ford Motorsport parts because they are usually cheaper than over the counter Ford dealer parts, and they are identical!

A 31 spline Ford Motorsports Trac-lok will run you $250 from Summit, by the time you add gears, install kit, a new exciter ring (if you have an electronic odometer) and other miscellany, count on having $600-650 in parts in the job. You can get it installed for another $200 or do it yourself if you've got the tools and know-how. I just did the rear end on my 96, and I'll probably never do another if I can avoid it. There are some jobs it's worth paying to have done and a rear end setup is worth every penny of what it costs.
