Main seal?

My truck seems to be leaking fluid from the very rear of my 5 speed manual tranny. My brother tells me it's the main seal. How hard is this going to be to fix?

If it's coming from the very rear of the tranny than it isn't your main seal, that is in the rear of the engine. Assuming it's where your driveshaft slip yoke connects to the tranny, than it's the rear seal of your tranny(4x2) or transfer case(4x4). They're relatively inexpensive (15 bucks) and was pretty easy to change on my 4x4.
