I went to wally world to have my daughters car serviced. I know the service manager pretty well. He said that Motorcraft was pulling the filters from the discount houses such as K-mart, walmart and the like and only major parts stores would be carrying them. My walmart had three left that were in the "back" as they had been told to pull them from the shelves. I had ordered 6 filters from 'Oil guard" and didn't need their three. Also ordered the fumotovalve to help drain oil as my dealership has raised the price of an oil change from $65.00 to $85.00. Looking back to my service records they have been charging me for 15 quarts of oil each time also. (I did ask them about the 13.5 to 14 quarts to take it to the full line back last year). Wallyworld had plenty of Powerservice and the manager said he had heard of no plan to discontinue carrying the stuff.
