Bob,

Are these the little buggers you are looking for?

I found a couple places where you might be able to get the clips - besides pulling them from another truck in a boneyard.

Bob's F-100 Parts
Restoration Specialties & Supply
Mid-Fifty

Mid-Fifty says they have them in stock for 53-56 trucks at $2.75 each. They look very similar to the ones in the photo above. Are the clips the same for your year? Mid-Fifty also says they have the frame clips in stock for the 53-56 trucks as well at $4 for a pack of ten. The frame clips are a little different style.

Restoration Specialties has a really big selection of clips for wiring and body panels. They suggest you send them an example and they will find the right part. Apparently there are literally thousands of these little do-dads and each one is a little different.

clips

Thanks for your help. One of them looks close. The other is shaped like a"J" and a carrige bolt holds it in place.I'll try your 3 possibilities.
Thanks again Bob

I've got a hardware book that lists the clips. List the length, width and diameter of the hole and if it's painted or cadium plated or rubber coated.

Hi Barry,
Is this book available at a book store, on line or can you give me the information I need? Its hard for me to discribe to someone what I need. I'm not sure what is what since everything is old.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bob

I'm restoring a 50 F-1 and I've pulled some off some parts trucks. I found one that's shaped in a "J". It's 2 inches long, 3/4 wide with a 5/16 inch hole in it. They list a few different ones, but no exact match. The book I have is a Ford parts dept. hardware book. I got mine on E bay. The bad part is there's no exact pic of these. I found some NOS ones like in the pics above on the locator. If you can give me the measurement, I can try to find some.
