Aux Trans Cooler Question

Aux Trans Cooler Question
I have a '92 F250 4WD with a 7.5L and E4OD. I want to install an aux trans cooler. I plan to put the new cooler in-line with the fac cooler. The install has to be able to take severe vibration from off road use. I'm looking at the Tru-Cool 4590 because it fits in the space below the fac cooler (12x12x1 1/2).
My dilema is that I do not want to use rubber hoses to connect the coolers. I prefer a steel tubing set-up. Is anyone aware of a Tru-Cool model or comparable "stacked plate" design that can be plumbed this way? I've tried in vain to get the info from Tru-Cool (Long Manufacturing) by phone or website and most of the web sites don't offer this configuration. Fact is I can find only one Tru-Cool dealer in my area and he wants over double the on-line price for the 4590.
Thanx....JQ

In the FWIW department, I make steel lines out of brake tubing to run right up to the cooler from the tranny. I do not know about the more modern trucks, but the older automatics will take a 3/16 fitting. You have to put a few bends and curves in the lines and not run it straight through, if that was even possible. Double flare the hose end. Next I use a very short piece of that expensive tranny line from the hard line to the cooler in a place where I can easily check it.

Good advice. If the cooler takes -AN fittings, you can go to Earl's web site and find local dealers to make custom hoses. Also, they can do extended brake lines.
