The only thing i got out of looking at those pages were the pictures of the chick on the current issue, and did you read the comments for the cars? You can really tell what kind of people are doing this stuff by reading it.

I suppose that this "giant wheel" thing was inevitable. I mean, how low can you lower a vehicle? They already have them scraping the ground. So someone started looking for the next big thing (pun intended). They are up to 28" rims now! But there is a difference between these and lowered cars, apart from the obvious. Many lowered vehicles look really cool. Not all of them, but it can't be denied that a properly lowered car (that doesn't have 13" wheels with VW tires sticking way out) no I mean a properly lowered classic car can look awesome. I was just looking at a lowered 64 Coupe de Ville and that car was tight! But I have yet to see one of these giant wheeled cars that looks good, and I don't expect to. They are ugly as heck.

I always thought it was funny when I started hearing 'so-n-so took his 72 caddy to bud's offroad shop to get a 2in lift put on for his 22s'.

Yeah it's nutty, huh? I might be buying a clean 75 Coupe de Ville, 93K, for a very good price. Totally original car. I would like to lower it a bit, a tad more in the front to give it a stance. Maybe 1" in back and 2" in front. But I still want it to ride nice, I'd get rims but probably just keep the stock 15" size, maybe go as high as 17" but that's it. I don't like the look of those "O-ring" tires and they must ride like total cr@p.
