how about going to a T&T night at Indy Raceway? at least it'd be a place to get together and bench race, while watching some sweet cars go down the strip...
There is a show in August in Avon, Indiana(West of Indy). It is a charity Carshow for the local animal shelter. It is open to ALL CARS & TRUCKS, Lots of shade, door prizes, raffles (50/50 is Huge) The show is on a Sunday, but the night before there is a Cruz In at Frost Bite, The Rehab Run, and Drive In Movie at the show grounds. It's not for just Trucks, but it is a pretty cool show, last year they had about 500 cars and trucks. It's a lot of fun you should try to make it out!
Let's see, There are no classes, It is participant judged(Better chance for anyone to win), There are about 100 awards given out (Plus some special picks) First 400 through the gate get a T-shirt & Dash Plaque, Along with the 50/50, Napa is giving away a $2,500 tool box, Goodyear is giving away a set of tires, Saldona Radiators is giving away a custom aluminum radiator, and much more, I need to look at the flyer to be sure on this years date (it is in my office at work) but when I get it I will post it. This year will be the 12th year, It is a great show, It is scenic, If you get there early enough-there is shade, gates open at 8:00 but usualy have to let in sooner-I have seen people start lining up at 5 am So once the line gets too long the open up. Registration is from 8-12 and awards are at 4:00 p.m. It's a good show, and well worth it.
Once I get my flyer, I can scan it in and e-mail it to you for more info, I know there will be some other local shows around indy, but I am srill waiting for mailed flyers. Also at suds in Greenwood on Saturday nights is a big deal, lots of cars, trucks, everythin, its not really a show, but a huge hang out, Probobly 200-300 if not more show up if the weather is good (Every Sat. Night). I will post more when I get it

There are a bunch of us ford truck nuts at every race and winning most of the time.
Whether you come to race or just watch .
We would be glad to have a few more ford truck owners there to support the blue oval.
Wait, are you saying there are no truck events in Indiana guys? Come on, what about:
"Thunder in Muncie" Muncie (to be renamed)
"4x4 Jamboree" @ IRP
"Power Stroke Nationals" @ IRP
"DHRA Pulls" Terre Haute
2005 - Hot Rod Power Tour @ IRP (Not trucks, obviously, but still cool)
Hmm, actually I'm seeing a pattern in Indiana with Diesels....
And that's just a few off the top of my head, I've never even been to Indiana! That is likely to change as I may cover the 4x4 Jamboree and even the HRPT.
I think since the IRP 4x4 Jamboree is the biggest, maybe we should plan on have an FTE members meet there!!
