wax on plastic
#2
It depends on how old it is, and how much is on the plastic. I've "touched-up" my friend's wax jobs for years now. For stuff that is pretty fresh, I'll use Simple Green at full strength. For older wax, or a lot of it, I use Gojo orange hand cleaner. Apply either of them w/ a rag. Them scrub with a toothbrush. Rinse off w/ the hose and dry. Then I apply a coat of Mother's Back to Black. Looks good as new. Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

wax on trim, remove and protect
With a black vehicle with black trim any wax will leave white on the plastic trim, not good. The best so far as i'm always looking for better as I get into car and motorcycle shows is Meguire's Vinyl & Rubber cleaner and conditioner. It revives color and provides UV protection. Not that wet dirt collecting shine finish, a factory clean dry satian finish. If the finish is rough a toothbrush may be needed to scrub the wax out. Wipe off excess after and enjoy. Also this product works great on tires, new or 10 years old. Other brands are like squirting WD-40 that collect road dirt. Hope this helps.

Give Wurth Rubber Care a try, it will actually remove the wax - not just cover it up!
