Cute guys!
This is February, and a lot can happen between now and the end of the year. I wouldn't read too much into those numbers. A couple of things jump out at me:
1. GM's been hammering rebates like heck-won't-have-it. So far, Ford's been trying to avoid playing in the same sandbox- but if those numbers continue, I'm sure they will.
2. Fuel prices are really starting to impact full-size Pickup and SUV sales. All the import makes were up.
I didn't see Chrysler's numbers- if anyone did, post 'em up.
Finally- are some of us cranky tonight? Sheesh- it's just sales totals. If you find where I posted "GM builds unbeatable trucks" let me know, so I can edit it out. My concern is GM and Ford are both down, while the competition's up. I've mentioned before that I feel both companies future's are linked together.

I believe Ford has 0% on most off there new Ford trucks as off latly. Ford had a such a huge sales month in December it wasnt surprising that numbers are down so far. And the weather has been awful in the populated area off the country. In the last week in December Ford sold like 30,000 trucks in one week.making for a huge sales month.off about 100,000 trucks. People that wanted a Ford truck bought one in December. And September was another huge month. Those two record breaking months means there will be another 2 slow months later. Fuel prices are increasing also. That doesnt help the situation much. GMs had to add a lot off incentives to move any trucks. Fords truck business is A Ok there making money on the trucks they are producing whereas GMs losing money on every truck they sell. Dodge has to be attracting new buyers to there trucks because they have hardly any repeat buyers. It tells me I better avoid Dodge to avoid that problem. Fords car business is gaining ground though which is good to see. Ford needs to change nothing on there trucks. They have the best trucks on the road today. I cant help it if people buy inferior trucks. If its not Ford its inferior.
