I think it would be nice to add this thread to the top of this and all of the older truck forums. There are some great sites you guys have posted. I will be restoring a 48-50 F1 sometime later this year. I plan to keep this thread handy when looking for parts. Thanks to those of you that have contributed.

Question 1983 F-150 rear gear

I have a 1983 F-150 4x4, no bolt rear. It is either an 8.8 or 9" rear. Tag has
FL B 2M09
L08 8 8S8 22A
Which rear gear do I have and how might I tell?
