Cool Van shakes at 50-60 km/h

hello i need some help here.

I recent;y changed m wires/ plugs / than jsut the other day I did the cap and rotor. Now when i get to about 50-60 km/h my van shakes like crazy I am assuming that its the ig timing. I have the ig module that is mounted on the wall of the engine compartment. I can not find my spout connector either.

I am also using alot of petro and its not very cheap up here.

My van is a 3 L 92 with about 240 000 kms on it.

please help me.

What brand of Plugs/Wires/Cap did you use?

I have a feeling that you might have a hairline crack in the Cap that is causing your situation. I have found that Wells brand tends to do this (even new), Stick with motorcraft parts for the plugs & stuff.

On your model the SPOUT should be within a few inches of the brake master cylinder. It is plastic, greyish and rectangular and is on the end of a short wire coming out of the thick wiring loom which runs across the top of the engine compartment.

If I remember correctly, the wires entering the SPOUT connector are pink.

Double-check all the plug wires to make sure they are still firmly seated on the plugs and on the cap. A few times they have popped off on me a day or so after a plug or wire change. I think it is because a little air gets trapped in the boot when the silicone grease is used and they slowly push off.

Good luck with your troubleshooting.

Cheers,
Eric

Does it do this with the engine reved up, or only when you are driving the vehicle. If its only while driveing, the problem is not in the engine, it is in the drivetrain.
Rev your engine to about 4000 RPM, with the transmission in park, and see if the engine runs rough and vibrates.
