What Model Ford was used in this movie
I'm trying to find out what model Ford truck was used in the movie: To Live and Die in LA.
The lead character, Richard Chance, drove what looked like a 4x4 blue Ford pick-up, but no badges were shown (i.e.f-150, etc).
Additionaly, there is the question of which bed, and package it was.
I'd really like to know what is was, as I'd like to try and find one to buy, providing of course it was not a custom-movie-only job.
Thanks in advance..

If you can find a clip on You Tube that shows the truck, post a link here and I bet folks will identify it for you very quickly.
Other cool old Ford tucks featured in movies recently:
1) An awesome late 1950's F250 in "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief"
2) A cool 1960's F150 in "I am Number Four"
(sorry I'm a science fiction freak and have HBO on demand)

This truck is a frankenstien.
It's got a inside cab gas tank that wasn't avaliable in 1978-1979 F-250's (What I suspect it is) due to the FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards). It's got a factory round gas cap used 1973-1976 instead of the proper fuel filler doors used in 1977-1979. The square door is a aftermarket tank addition...
This I would guess would make it a 1973-1977 F-250 Highboy with a 1978-1979 grille in it.
Why I say this...
The 1973-1977 F-250 "highboy" 4x4's had a standard in cab gas tank.
There was no F-350 4x4s untill 1979.
There was no in cab gas tanks in 1979.
The 1977-1979 had fuel filler doors, and this truck shows the 1973-1976 round cap.
This is as close as I would be able to come to a guess.
The truck has been totally messed with...
