Heavy duty clutch for Power Stroke
I am in need of a new clutch for my '99 F250 PSD. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for aftermarket units? I don't want to go back with a stock one, as I've recently upgraded with an intake, chip and exhaust (this is also how I found out I was in need of a new clutch...hahaha....wow....what a difference..I'll never have a stock truck again!!). I'm looking for brands, prices and even a good, honest local mechanic. Thanks in advance for y'alls help.

I've got LUK clutches in both my F350s (ones a diesel and ones a 460) and I love them. I know several guys with highly modified PSDs running LUKs or South Bend Clutches and both seem to hold up very well.
Be carefull not to kick out the front headlights first time you drive it with a LUK or SBC, the resistance in the pedal is more like a little race car and the clutch engages with only a tiny bit of pedal movement.
For the LUKs I think just the clutch was around $500, and another $400 or so for the SMFW which is a must for a 94-97 PSD, I don't know if the soopty dooties have the same problems with the stock DMFW
Can't help you out with a shop to do it but I did mine and it was a pretty easy job, but I had access to a lift so that helped a little.
