finished my rear swing gate. Pics...

well it looks like I finally finished the swing gate. Got it all painted nice and pwerty black as well as a fresh coat on the bumper.
Little swing gate for the spare tire.

The plans for on the inside are for some storage of some things including axle shafts and other spare parts.

what mods did you have to do to the tailgate latches to get that to work i would like something like this on my 79

Looks like it will work. Just remember, secure all that stuff in the back. In a rollover, those items will come looking for you, and if they found you, it would not be pretty.

everything you see in there is already secured. the swing gate is made to make even more stuff secured in there.


as how I did the gate? the previous owner use this bronco for prerunning. the inside was totally gutted out and I was left with a rear gate shell which bolts on. Well in wheeling and camping I do it was a pita to get anything in or out of the bronco. now it will be easy.
