6" Suspension Lift forthcoming

The boss (wife) gave the go ahead to purchase a 6" Suspension lift now what I need is some feedback on which to choose from:

1) Fabtech
2) ProComp

So far I favor the ProComp with just the ES shocks standard system.

Tires: Yup need MO Beef! 37's or 38's???

1) Toyo Open Country M/T's
2) Nitto Mud Grappler's
3) BFG Mud Terrains KM

You're gonna have the tallest truck in town!!! You might want to take an afternoon and type in the keywords suspension +lift in the advanced search for this forum. Take down lots of notes since it is an expensive upgrade. I did that before deciding which one I picked. Ton of great info to read and digest but worth it.

I have found both lifts for about $1500.00 a piece plus about $500.00 for installation. KI can get the tires for around 1200.00 so not bad (Thanks IRS)!

Well the Pro Comp 4WD 6" Suspension Lift won the battle. I cannot beat the price of $1346.99 anywhere. Plus it installs in 4-6 hours from someone who knows what they are doing therefore labor will only be around $350-$400.

My Truck will now have the 6" Suspension and 3" Body Lift running on little bitty 35's until I can afford the 37's but it will still be OK for a little while!

Guess I'm too late but I would have thrown a vote in for Skyjacker. I assume they have a kit for this truck and they seem to have some of the best kits. I have one and love it and from other sites I visit it seems like it is the kit of choice. I would probably either go with BFG's or Super Swampers. BFG's seem to do well offroad and do very well on the road and last longer than most mud tires. Super Swampers seem to suck on the road and wear out very quickly but do awesome offroad. I like Toyo's and love there preformance tires that I have on my car but I'm not sure about there mud tires.

Have you checked out CST's "eight inch" which is really about 6.5? Great construction with their uniball upper control arms and one piece front crossmember. I'ts a bit expensive, but a great kit.
