1998 F-150 that had a leaking gasket- Should I still buy it?

Hey guys, I own a 2001 F-150 with a 4.2L 4x4 V6 and I'm looking at an extended cab flareside V8 4x4 at my local Ford dealership right now. The sales rep said nothing is need when it is taken of the lot, but when it was traded in by the last owner it had a leaking gasket on the left side I think, and they went ahead and replaced both of them.

Is this a problem with most 1998 V8's? Because I know it is with the 97 and some 98 4.2 v6's.??

Should I still look into getting this truck?

It was probably leaking oil out from the back of the headgasket. It was kinda common on the early ones. Some of the heads weren't machined properly and caused an oil leak. It wasn't a coolant leak like the 4.2L. I'm sure that they machined the heads when replacing the gaskets so it should be ok.
