Lariat Luxury Package

Does anyone with a 2005 have the Lariat Luxury Package. How does the woodgrain look. Is it too much woodgrain. I am going to purchase a 2005 F250 in the next couple of weeks. I like the other stuff included in the Luxuary package but don't think I will like all the woodgrain. Any comments would be appreciated.

It's not bad I don't mind it. I've look at some carbon fiber and other inserts to change it but I really don't like any of them.

At first I didn't like the look too much. Now I don't mind it; and it's easy to clean.

I wasn't to sure when I got it, but now that I have had it a couple of months, I think it is pretty cool.

I too did not like it in the beginning...now I do, the only thing the top of the console might get a bit scratched...I like the dash a lot more than my 03

I like mine but I have the deep console with a paper clip in the middle vs. the bench. One problem is the plastic "wood grain" scratches pretty easy. Otherwise I like it a lot.

I am suprised to see the woodgrain dash has so many loyal fans. I opted for an XLT because of my dislike for the plastic woodgrain, and the lieometer. But if I could do it over I would have gotten the leather in my XLT. The HVAC controls and audio controls on the steering wheel are a nice options, but IMO there are too many other have to takes to get them.

Thumbs up

I love the looks of a fine quality "PWOOD". The stuff that comes in the 05's looks good compared to alot of others I have seen.

I've been happy with mine in my King Ranch as well. The woodgrain looks pretty good to me. Ok, I could get a better interior on a nice 7 series BMW, but lets remember that this is a truck. I had been driving cars for years - no trucks until I bought my current Super Duty. I had looked at the Super Duty trucks before and liked the external rugged looks and performance; I just struggled to move from a car to a truck as a day-to-day vehicle mostly because the interior was a little too utilitarian for me. There were some other options, like the Escalade things, but I think that those just go too far. When I finally got a look at a Super Duty with the King Ranch, which includes the Lariat Luxury Package, I think Ford finally hit the perfect truck for me. I'll emphasize the 'for me' part as I know many people have no problem with a more utilitarian styled interior in a truck. Even without the King Ranch, the Lariat Luxury packages looks like a good balance of comfort vs. practicality to me, considering that this is a truck we're talking about.

I like mine, it is OK but it is not *jaw dropping*. Only had the truck 3 weeks so far, but I like it. As was mentioned above I been pondering over doing the CF replacements but like the wood better then any of those I have seen. By the time I see something I'll prolly not want to change

I think it looks okay with the tan interior... but was really out of place with the grey. I really wanted the bells and whistles of the Luxury package and there was no way around the Pwood except to get the Harley Edition. So that's what we ended up ordering... should be here next week. One thing I wish Ford would consider for future years... is to at least offer a darker carpeting (another benefit with the HD edition). Almost every truck we looked at on the lot already showed signs of dirty carpet... after all it's suppose to be a "work truck"! At least that's the answer I got when I questioned the lack of the transponder key not being included in the ASG (advance security group). Still it's a great looking truck anyway you get it!

I have the HD 150 and the black carpet shows all manner of thing vs the grey. I am constantly cleaning the floor as everything shows up on the black. I love my 250 and would have gotten the black but I already have an HD and thought I would go with the Lariat this time. I was surprised that the security group option really had nothing to do with Security as there is no special key or alarm for that matter.

I like mine. It's worth the $350 or so upgrade for the steering wheel controls. Wood grain is easy to scratch. Clean it with a SOFT cloth.

About the only issues I have with the lariat is I keep hitting the darn buttons on the steering wheel when turning fast! Also, the darn seek button on the wheel will not seek through the presets
