Just wanted to say Hello and thank all who post here for the help.
I have a 99 Expey with 81,000 on it now, it gets about 3000 a month,
although I've had no serious problems with it yet, I know the day will come.
Reading some of your posts makes me justify the money spent on maintainance.
Just replaced the plugs and I can sympathize with you who do your own work.
Not an easy job for sure. Mine gets an oil change once a month along with a fram filter. I have noticed a slight miss while towing a trailer around 60 mph in
OD, so had the fluid and filter changed in the tranny at 60K miles.
Keep up the great posts so the rest of us can drive trouble free.

don't use a fram filter period and never in a ford it can cause bad oil filtration and startup noise and they are built like junk

 

I agree, Motorcraft is the best filter out there. They have the best anti-drainback valve to keep oil from draining back into the pan when not running. This gets oil to the bearings and camshafts faster on start-up.

 

Thanks for the tip guys, will change brands before the weekend, as a trip is planned for Florida. Heading for the sun with a 14 ft. trailer and the bikes,Daytona here I come. See you in about two weeks.
