E-mail timestamp is way off

Can anybody tell me how to adjust the time stamp on my comcast e-mail. I sent myself a test e-mail and notice that the time on the e-mail was 7 hours and 43 minutes off . Comcast tech e-mailed me back and basically said that's the way it is . Some tech support, huh? Any help would be appreciated .

Is your computer clock correct? Is your email program set up for the right timezone?

Torque1st, yes, my clock on the computer is set correctly and on the right time zone. It's the time stamp on the comcast e-mail that has me baffled. What's odd about it is that it's off by an odd difference. Not just the hours, but odd minutes, such as 43 minutes. Weird, huh? BTW........I do thankyou for your input.
