Question overhead light

Ok in our 2000 cavalier when u open the door the overhead light turns green. Now how in the heck do u get the plastic cover off? fordguy101

wow, this is the first time i have ever heard of a ford cavalier !!!! just messin with ya !! anyways, i have never seen any that wont just pop off. sometimes you will have to use a very thin screwdriver, or pocketknife remove them. how long have you owned the car? some people actually like the colored lamps, and i was thinking that if you havent had it long, someone in the past may have switched the lamp out. good luck.

it could have been an option possibly. are you the first owner, and has it been green the whole time? sometimes as the lamp gets older, they will start to develop a shade inside, from the heat. that could maybe appear green when shining through the plastic lens. btw, did you get the lens to pop off?

i would put money that someone before you changed it out. not a mojor deal to live with, but i dont feel that they put out as good amount of light as the white ones. goood luck and let me know what you find out !!! matt

they shouldnt be too hard to find, i would just check the local parts stores, or even a walmart. good luck !!!

Ok yeah u are right they don't put out any light. At night I have to squint to see inside the car.
