Hey I have a '78 F-150 with a good c6, 205, 4.11 gears, detroit locker in the rear, almost new 38.5-16-15 swampers. The engine (400) needs work and the body is in real rough shape. Let me know if your interested. $1500. SW Michigan.
im looking for some thing a little less expensive.under 1,000. i found one one time @ phils county line in reed city for cheap but couldnt make the money for it
There was a 79 F250 RC/LB for sale in Northville, MI (SW) on Ridge Road, just north of 6 mile. I stopped and looked at the truck. It had a D44HD, D60 Rear, C6, 351M, NP205. The body was pretty bad and the guy said that the gas tank was shot, so he couldn't start it for me. He was asking $1300. That was last summer, the last time that I drove by his place (early January this year), it was still sitting in his front yard. I will swing past his place today to see if it is still there.
The truck is still there but it is covered with a couple inches of snow and ice, I'll swing by again once we have a thaw and see if the for sale sign is still in the window.
I have a 86 F150 4x4 that I am looking to sell, could probably let it go for under $1000. I also have a spare Dana 44 HD from a 77-ish F250 and Dana 70 rear axle from a 78 F350 if you wanted a solid axle in place of the TTB. Keep in mind that the D44 HD is originally from a leaf sprung truck, so it will take some fabwork to hook up to the TTB front.
The F150 has the 8.8 rear, Dana 44 TTB front, 300 I6, NP435 tranny and BW1345 t-case. If you don't want the engine, I could knock a couple bucks off the price.
i have a 351w in it now body is in decent condition the frame has seen better days cut and welded cross memebers shortened and moved i was thinking of selling it but its my first truck and i love the pile of **** to death
