A month or so back there was discussion on no NEW Lightning availability.
I found 5 locally.............and got the fever!!! Just picked it up tonight and so far am thoroughly pleased. Got the bright red. They had a white and the sister dealer had the sonic blue. Liked the blue but all of them, except mine, had some kind of lot damage. Easily fixed/buffed but I didn't want to start a relationship this way.
Paid 30K (about $60 under invoice using my X plan) I'm saving my D plan for the Harley SD from Jeff this summer.
Anyway, just wanted to share my joy and to let anyone/everyone know there's a few BRAND SPANKING NEW ones left in Vegas.

I'm jealous!!! Congrats on the new truck. I'd love an 03 or 04 Lightning. Even if they do have an automatic tranny ... I think I could live with a hot rod with an auto. ( Until a kit for a stick is made, anyway!)

Congratulations on the new ride. There’s nothing like being pinned to the seat by acceleration G’s and listening to the sweet whine of the supercharger to liven up the day. I’ve got about 18k miles on my 04 (bought it last July) and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every mile. FYI the 04’s dyno at 350 to 360 rwhp stock and easily go over 400 rwhp/500ftlbs with a 4# pulley and a good tune. Have fun and enjoy!

Wow! 30K for a new lightning. Thats a super deal. I've seen older, used ones up here going for that price. I would be very tempted to try a different pulley and go eat some Vettes.

Its amazing how much different the car market vehicle values vary by what part of the country you are in. They were selling new 04's up here for $25,700 last summer. Granted there were a lot of new leftover 03's still sitting around on ford lots at that time and that was driving the price down on the 04's. I only paid $27k for my 03 when I bought it new and that was including tax and tags. There was only about $50 difference in sticker prices between 03 and 04.
Regardless, you have a wonderful truck that I'm sure you will enjoy. Congrats!
I took these pictures last summer in June or July. All these were leftover 03's that had been on the lot over a year!
All their 04's were up by the building and they had a couple in the showroom. Note that there were also two new 03
HD Screws at the end of the line which had also been on the lot over year.
That's amazing!!! Where are you at??? My X plan got me about $60 UNDER invoice and the D plan was another $1300 off. Your dealer was selling 5K UNDER INVOICE!!!

I found two red '04 lightnings with less than 100 miles on them here the other day. Unfortunetly they were trying to screw me on my trade-in so I walked. They wouldn't give me 17,300 for a '04 Subaru Wrx with 8k miles. Long story short I almost had my first lightning if they would have moved $500 on my trade.
Edit: They were at $29,995 for the truck and wouldn't budge.
