I'm a new grand daddy!
If you all had noticed, I was kinda missing for the last week... I made a special run to South Dakota to see my new little grand daughter. She was about 4 weeks early, and was only 4lbs. 9 ounces, but is doing real well. With a little luck, she will be coming home with mom Saturday. she's much cuter than these pics in person.

Well, the story is like this... first, no sons around here... second, in all reality, not blood, she is the daughter of my ex fiance, but I did help raise her from the age of 8, she is now 17... a bit early, but it happens. She still calls me dad, because her natural father isn't man enough to do the job properly. So in legal and biological terms, no I'm not, but by emotional bond, I am. She calls me step dad to everyone she introduces me to, and we are as close as any father-daughter could be.

Congratulations, fellro! She's a beauty!!
Awfully big of you to support your "daughter" like that - says a lot about your character!! Is it going to be papaw or peepaw?

Thanks! My belief for family doesn't end with legal means, she looks at me as a father, so I take her as my daughter. We had such a close relationship that she actually wanted me to adopt her, but there were some problems with that... we haven't always seen eye to eye,, but who does?
