Hey Folks....It has been quite the Journey but I am finally getting my 55 put togather and wired up.. ..Wheewww....I have a question bout the Healight SW.....How in the world do I wire it up.. ..Purchased an EZ-Wiring kit. I have the Headlight Batt(Headlight Power), Headlights(Dimmer Power), Tailights(LT Park), Parklights(LF Park)...The parens are what actual wire it is and outside of parens are what it says it goes to. ....On my Headlight SW..B-Batt, D-Dome,A-Stoplight,R-Rearlight,I-Dash,H-Dimmer,P-Park, So I have been told.....Any help would totally and greatfully be appreciated....

Thanks,

Patrick I just installed the same harness on my 51. I had to stand back and scratch my head and walk in a few circles also at that part before I figured out that part of the wiring. If you followed the instructions and laid out each section on the floor prior to install you should have each bundle where it belongs. The three prong plug goes to the dimmer switch. I have to dig out my EZ booklet to give you the correct information. Send me a e-mail and give me your e-mail address and we can continue.

Patrick, page 7or13 of your booklet shows the headlight switch wiring.
Bat/Power: Red/Blk harness wire the power wire.
Dimmer: The 3 prong plug goes to the dimmer switch.
Tail: Brown wire marked LF PARK goes here.
Panel: Brown wire marked Instrument PNL goes here.
Headlights: The center wire from the 3 prong plug goes here.
Park: Brown wire marked LT PARK goes here.

Besure the fusable link is in place when hooking up the battery power to the harness.
I sent you an e-mail message, if we can hook up on MSN Instant Messenger on Friday evening I will try to answer any other questions.

i'm in the process of doing my 58 F100. i used the Painless kit. its a very painless install but i too scratched my head when it came to wiring the switch. i used my shop manuel wiring digramn and followed along with the Painless kit. took some time but i got it. works very well.

I've used the EZ kit a # of times and found it fairly easy to follow; I'd give the instructions a B-. A lot better than the Vintage Air instructions I am working with now. I'd give them a D-.

F100 Wiring Diagram

I saved this wiring diagram a few years ago, maybe it will help.

You can find it on my FTE website at
http://www.clubfte.com/users/rogerf100/four.html

It is larger and easier to read there.
