Any F600+ Owners out there??

I'm looking for info on a driveline mounted parking brake setup. I have a 1977 2wd F-250 with a T-18 4 speed. I think I could use this set up from a medium duty when I convert my truck to disc brakes. I have gotten no response on other forums. I thought I might find some big truck owners here.... Thanks

I don't think any medium trucks used the T18. They might have used a NP435, but probably were usually bigger than that. You could just put it in first gear to keep it from rolling away

Its not the trans I'm after its the parking brake that goes on the back of the trans. I can adapt it to my tranny.

Evan the clark 5 speeds that are in my f700s had the e brake at the back of the tranny.there removable and the only thing i can see is that you might have to shorten the drive line a bit.

Hmmm.....DS parking brakes are somwhat optional, they just mount on the rear of a trans, I doubt if the trans maker even makes them. The trick would be to find or machine the spacer/mount that it mounts to then you could mount it on anything (with DS alterations). That spacer usually holds the rear seal and spedo gear too. Most all trucks had them untill the 80s when they started using the gerling style hydraulic emergency brakes on the rear axle on some (Fords). I would guess the trucks with rear disc still have them. You could go hunting at any medium truck/school bus salvage yard for ideas. You could always use the Ozark method, a couple sticks of firewood by your tire, that works real nice.
