What are the spring rates for the 1st gen coils and leafs? I installed 1st gen coils and leafs on my truck ('94 swb, 4.9l, E4OD) along with Bilsteins (ak1289/1290). The rear is firmly planted but the front is a little bouncy. I also replace all the bushings with urethane and added front and rear swaybars. I'm thinking I need the shocks revalved or de-gassed to get both ends acting the same. My engine is only a little lighter than a 351W. 20 lbs lighter according to most weight lists. Thanks.
They're supposed to be the same (rating) as a standard F-150. The shocks are more performance oriented, and they have a bigger sway bar as compared to a regular 2wd f-150. Bilstein makes a shock for the GEN 1 L's that is much like the ones used on the GEN 2 L's. The ride overall ride is supposed to be like a stock L, but some said that they seem to be just a bit firmer than stock.
