Question salvage must have bent the tie-rod...

i have been hunting a spare front axle assembly with real power steering for my 77 HiBoy F250, and i found a 79 D44HD under a 79 F250 at a salvage, but the tie-rod is obviously bent. the salvage owner told me about accidently bending a drive-shaft on the same truck, and i believe he also got the tie-rod. it has the steering box, leaf springs and the complete axle assembly but what i am wondering is... can the tie-rod be straightend and used reliably??? has anybody out there had any experience with this situation?? plzzzz commenct.

wow, i sure do love this forum...

Sure, put it in a press and bend it back.
