Smile 2004 f-150 alarm sensitivity

How do I adjust the sensitivity of my factory alarm? It is so touchy right now, it goes off when a dissell drives by or if it thunders. Any help would be appreciated. email me at rlg21465 @ yahoo.com

Factory Alarm

Ummmm....Unless that honking noise is a defect in the horn when I accidently jump into the bed, ummm I have a factory installed alarm in my 05 SCab Lariat.

Factory keyless but not alarm? Hmmmmm.

Window sticker says "keyless entry keypad" and "securilock" are standard equipment on the Lariat.

Dunno if the securilock system only refers to the key chip. I'll test my alarm tomorrow. Lock doors with window down.... wait 5 minutes, then reach inside and unlock by pushing the button. This will trip the alarm if there is one when you open the door.

I haven't checked in a while but I believe you can choose whether you want a honk on lock and unlock or not. I think you change this preference by using the information center under the gauges. I check this afternoon and let you know what I find.

To adjust the sensitivity you have to goto the dealer. It took them twice but it was worth it. Those little rice burner's with that annoying muffler always set mine off.

yeah the securilock is a name for the chip in the ignition key the light that flashes on the dash is just telling you that it is armed preventing the truck from being hot-wired. As far the alarm goes these trucks dont have a factory alarm system just secuilock standard if you have an alarm then its aftermaket or dealer installed. All the horn chirp does is just verify that the doors were locked and yes its a bit loud but it CAN be disabled.

I have the 101825-8 Gold alarm, keyless, remote start 2W7Z-19G364-AA. The link below has the owner's manual, cross reference, and install guide + the phone number to call in order to adjust alarm sensitivity. Systems are made by Code Alarm.
