Steering wheel radio control?

Steering wheel radio control?
I justed swaped my 04 audiophile system with an 05 that plays MP3's. Everything works fine except when I hit the MEM button on my steering wheel control the radio seeks stations instead of playing the programed ones. Anyone have this issue? Is there a setting that you can change? I looked in my manual and it doesn't say anything about it.

Ebay, I paid $250. The best thing about it is that the ones without MP3's are selling for a little over $200. SO all you have to do is put your old one up for sale. For about $50 you can upgrade to one with MP3. It was also very easy to change. Took me about 15 minutes.

I wonder if the dealer could take care of it with a reprogram. I know they need to reprogram the truck when you swap instrument clusters (all guages work, but domelight and door ajar chime don't). Maybe its just a matter of telling the CPU how to respond to the button pushes? Worst case scenario would be to figure out which wire on the radio harness is the MEM wire, and which is the SEEK wire and swap them.

Switch to 05 stereo
I also switched my '04 for an '05 MP3 on ebay, ended up costing about $30. I noticed the same thing and have found no way to change it. Another Question, how can you get the text to scroll when playing an MP3 song. The stereo has a "text" kry on preset 6, but the manual for the '04 says"this feature not supported".

I'm planning on switching my 2005 non-mp3 radio (Visteon) with a 2005 mp3 radio (Delphi) on Friday and I asked Delphi this, and this was there response:
"You are correct that the steering wheel control will act like a "seek" button. Unfortunately, there is no software fix available. There is a software spec difference between the radios."
Disappointed, but I think I'd rather have the mp3 capable player.
