rod and piston orientation

rod and piston orientation

the squirter hole on the rods go towards the cam right. so the eyebrow in the piston goes on the same side as the hole. just double checking before i get them installed.

o by the way i did TRY to search but the damn thing is disabled

excuse my ignorance i meant to say the number on the rod not the oil hole

The #'s face out. There should me a mark on the piston that points to the front of the motor.

there aftermearket KB flattops so no notch just one eybrow

so eybrow opposite the numbers right

Hmm, aftermarkets should have a mark too. Should face the front of the engine I believe. Any good engine builders pipe up? Been awhile since I did mine and I have to relearn each time The rods and caps should be marked also pointing to the front.

The eyebrow goes to the intake valve.

Mark told you correctly, to make it simple, cylinders 1,2,3,4 the valve relief point toward the front of the engine, and 5,6,7,8 they point to the rear.
