Ford Parts in Austin

Does anyone know where to get hard to find parts for ford trucks in the Austin area? For example I can't find things like a wire harness or a grommet for the booster check valve. I have tried about 10 junk yards/used parts places here and no luck so far.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

David

I've had decent luck at Harolds in Briggs (N. on 183) A bit of a drive, but they've usually had what I need.

I was at Harold's about a month ago and they didn't have much in the way of old Ford trucks. They use to but they don't let the cars sit very long there (usually smash them). There's a small junkyard on the way to Harold's that I found last time I went there. It's on 183 about 5 miles south of Harold's. They had probably 5 late 70's Ford trucks that were all in pretty good shape and fairly complete. The guy who runs it will pull the part for you because he doesn't want people in there hacking up everything. I'll try to find the name of the place and phone number.

Thanks Guys,

I will keep these places in mind for my future searches, which always seem to happen sooner than later.

Grew up in Killeen and haven't been back in years. Sounds like a good reason to go back and visit.

Yeah, the one near Bertram comes to mind. I get alot of parts from a yard on Hwy29 between Georgetown and Leander. I don't know the name of the place, but talk to the owner about hog huntin' and you'll get whatever you need! I can get the name if you need it.
