Last time we tried it at the Mcminnamins in Troutdale which was easier for the Portland folks but not so much for the Washington folks (I believe we have a handfull of members in Longview). We also had a very poor turnout.
So, this time we are meeting at the Warren Country Inn. It is located right off of Hwy 30 (literally, you turn from the hwy into their parking lot) and is @30 minutes north of Portland and @ 30 minutes south of Longview. Should be easy to get to for everybody, and they have tons of parking.
The Warren Inn is a family restaraunt appropriate for everyone, with a conference room that I'm going to try to reserve. They have good food, and have a pretty good bar. Something for everyone!
Directions:
From Portland, take Hwy 30 north. Once you pass Scappose, keep your eyes peeled on the left and you'll see the Warren Country Inn after about roughly seven miles.
From Washington, take the Longview bridge to Hwy 30 south. Once you pass St. Helens, keep your eyes peeled on the right and you'll see the Warren Country Inn after about roughly three miles.
Hope to see you guys there. Always nice to see your trucks there (I'll bring mine) but its not neccesary.
We are having another mud bog here in St. Helens Feb. 12th.
Soooo, I'm thinking maybe we should bump it from a lunch to a breakfast then those interested can go up to the mud bog (which is about 20 minutes away from where we will be eating).
Now, if it works better for everyone to leave it as is for lunch, thats fine too. Basically, I need people to post up to see what they think. Move it to breakfast or leave it as lunch?
I should mention its a $20 entrance fee if you want to take your truck into the mud and play. They supposedly charge a $5 specator fee if you just park and come in to watch, but I don't think they actually charge this unless you are a passenger in a truck thats entering.
(this is a shameless cut-and-paste job from a number of threads we've had on this GTG, but this is the final product. I think. )
You know what happens when you have too much fun, right? It gets addicting. Sooo... we're going again on the 26th. Same breakfast place (9:00 AM), then off to the mud bog.
