extended radius arms or not

I am in the process of saving up for a 6 inch susp. lift to go on my 96' 150 and i am trying to save money, but i want it to drive correctly. so i was wondering if I would be better off by buying a kit with radius arm drop brackets would do just fine or if I would be better off investing a little more and get extended arms.

Also, are the add a leafs given on kits with blocks used to replace the factory blocks

For 6", you really don't want drop brackets if you ever leave paved roads. For the rear, usually there are several options with add-a-leaf being one of them.

what would you reccomend for the rear?

what about options for upgrading the brakes to compensate for the bigger tires?

The best thing is a brand new pack of spring, but that's also the most expensive. Next in price is add-a-leaf, then blocks and shackle flip. 6" is a bit too much for blocks, so if you have the $$, stay away from it.

Better rotors, pads and shoes are fairly easy and cheap to install, but if you want more, that can be lots of work and $$$. I'd think twice before going that route.

any idea on how much the breaks will cost?

thanks for the help about the suspension, i was kind of leaning toward getting the extended arms anyway because i knew that would be better but i just wanted to get another opinion and look at my options.
