My new toy!!
#5
Well, i was busy all day today...
work
gym
home depot
I was at home depot because i bought 4 bolts yesterday, and had to return 2 of them. Turns out 2 are M10x1.5 and the other 2 are much longer M12x1.75
I also bought some aluminum washers, and some neoprene washers. The neoprene washers go underneath the aluminum, to give a little grip between the metals.
All this hardware was necessary to bolt down the expedition bucket seats in place of my stupid vinyl (non-split) bench seat.
Pics to follow when i get a chance, but they are grey cloth, no armrests. They look just like the L seats, but buckets/captains instead of 40/60. I'm totally stoked on the fact that not only does it not feel like a couch anymore, but i can actually recline. Feels like a new truck!
I've got a gap between the seats now, which is cool to throw my CD's and backpack in. But i'm torn between getting an OEM console, one of those 12-volt cooler consoles (everyone has been telling me to do it!), or, when i build my next system, i was going to custom build a console to flow through the middle to house the amps and other equip. That would allow me to make the sub enclosure a lot bigger!
But damn, all those things you two guessed made me wish i had them.....
