tricumulator springs

I started installing a sonax valve and springs in my 2k f-350 psd(4r100).When I removed the stock 1-2 shift spring,it came out in two pieces. The kit says to reinstall the stock spring with the new ones inside of them.So I called ford, they said they can't get the spring by its self, you have to buy the tricumulator valve body as an assy.Does anyone know where I could get these shift springs?

I don't know of a place off the top of my head, but whenI did my springs the guy that I talked to said if I messed it up he could have new springs the next day, call your local tranny shop and tell them what you need. It's a $3 part. If you got in a hurry you could always just find something close to it and shave it down to the length and firmness that you want, the springs are a over the counter part, the 4R70's are know for breaking springs. It happens everyonce in a while on a 4R100, no big deal.
