so what muffler do you think puts out the best performance? hp, low end torque etc...

Not really a whole lot of difference I think. I mean exhaust is a touchy subject to most. Some think that single exhaust is better than duals, I disagree. But really it's about preference. Most people like those really....really annoying FM40's. Makes these trucks sound like mustangs or a racer and I hate that. Turbo mufflers provide a good sound but aren't straight thru. Glass packs have a decent sound but its the same thru out. The flow would be very good on those. Again it's really all about taste.

 

Stright piped after that cat flows pretty good.

 

I agree, not a lot of difference. The muffler really isnt worth all that much. The exhaust system as a whole, with a decent muffler, good pipes, etc will get you gains. Headers will give you more gains than any muffler ever could.

Adding a muffler to stock crush bent pipe wont get you much. Go with what sounds good to you, and be done with it. So what if you lose 1hp/2ft-lbs to another muffler, you would not notice it anyway.
