Im wondering how to engage the 4-low on my four wheel drive. It is push button and to engage four high I just push the button and on my way I go. I tried to push the 4-Low button and nothing. It wont even light up the button and it doesnt feel like im even in four wheel drive. Its there a certain way to do this. Help!

Where you stopped and in Neutral? If not try that. Most the time you cannot go into 4-low unless in Neutral.

I have the same problem as you. I tried it in neutral and park and it still does not want to shift. Not that I have ever needed to use 4 lo, but it would be nice to have to working in case I ever need it. All I know is that you can not be moving and the truck needs to be in neutral or park.

Often you need to be in neutral, stopped, with your foot on the brake. Computer needs to see that brake pedal on/off input before it will shift the transfer case into low.

Question What Now?

I tried putting it in park, neutral, drive and had foot on the brake all the time. nothing. I wonder if it may be the motor on the transfer case. if not can the switch go bad on just 4-low? Im baffled. I may try and take the little motor off the side of the transfercase, take it apart clean and lube it. Guess its worth a try unless anyone else can shoot me in another direction. Thanks folks. Ryan

okay,l pulled off the transfer case motor and cleaned, lubed and reassembled. Note I had to make 4 gaskets to put it back together and mounting it back onto the transfer case. I did discover that the sequence to getting the 4-low to activate is this: first put into 4-high then shift to neutral with foot on brake press 4-low button. and thats it. Not sure if I wasted my time on the motor but I know it did not hurt. So hope my delimma will help someone else with this. Thanks Ryan.
