1964 ford f100 - paint advice..
Well I just came across some money and decided that I want to use it to get my 64 f100 painted. I want to do it in the original color (rangoon red). The interior is red on the top of the dash and white below...was there originally the same combination on the exterior of the truck?
My next question is what is the best paint. I have a budget of 2000 for the whole paintjob - I want to get good paint for the truck, but I also want the color to be correct as well. Any suggestions as far as the brand of paint and, if any of you live in california, do you know of a really good paint shop? (central coast california preferred, but let me know of any really good painter anywhere in the state if you know of one)

I can't help on the shop choice but the color question I can. The original color combo was Wimbelton White/Rangoon Red and is available (PPG Has the formula) and Urethane is the only way to go. Just to make sure I would send the glove box door and one of the defrost vents to confirm the match.
