Hi, I just bought a 1997 Expedition 4x4 EB. For Some reason the running board lights will not light up. Its wierd because all four of the lights do not work. Any Ideas?

Is that the only part of the courtesey light system that doesn't work? The running boards are not fused seperately from the rest of the courtesey lights, right?
Find the connector(s) (you may want to start closest to the running boards), unplug it, & test for power.

Are these original Ford or are they aftermarket?

 

Hi, they are original Ford on my 1997 Expedition EB 4WD 5.4L. The inside lights work, just the outside running board lights will not light up. Is there a seperate fuse for them or is it by some chance they all must have blown the bulbs?!

There is a fuse under the hood on the larger of the two fuse boxes on the driver's side. You might also check the wiring near the front of the running boards underneath the front of the boards. My wires get iced over since the snow builds up behind the wheels right where the running boards connect and this pulls the wires loose.
