on buying and selling...to each other

just a couple of pointers. its okay to mention it during a conversation, but any questions or discussion's about the item's , you should use PM'S {private message'ing} or e-mails for further info or discussion...

Please don't take this the wrong way...i'm not wanting to discourage people from "helping each other out" which is what "O.C." is about, but to keep it as low profile as possible......thanks .......

too much of a good thing can be bad. that said ...all i'm trying to convey is for everyone to keep the buying and selling as low key as possible. FTE frowns on the use of the site for that purpose....but if some one can "help" somebody...and mentions that they can ....then they can use chat,pm's or emails or even a phone call to futher assist each other.....lets not attract unwanted attention to ourselves.... here in O.C....

 

update : if you mention that you have something or need something,

you must have your pm {private messaging} turned on and be able to recieve pm's ....

Ray, can you PM and explain why the FTE Admin is SO against the Free Market ?? I've NEVER seen a site so Anti-Free Trade before.

 

its more like this.....Ken wants this site to stay focussed on sharing info on issues relating to Ford trucks.and with as many forum's that FTE has... it use's alot of "bandwidth" which in turn cost lots of money. Then you have people that come to this just to hawk there wares and then are gone the next day....that in its self creates all kinds of problems....like or and then they are at admin. because the deal went sour...this is just some of the issues that are related to buying /selling forums...to put it simply ....its just easier not to allow it.....less headaches for everyone...so that is it in a nutshell....for more info read up on in user feedback forum... i hope this helps.

Hey guy's i need to add a couple of new guidelines to this thread,

First you need to be a active member of the Ohio/kentucky chapter to post a wanted or etc, etc ....item. No exceptions.

Second, if you are not a member and or are a new FTE member, 30 days or less , You must private message Me first before posting , and or replying to a thread.

lastly.....your post or reply to any post is subject to being edited, or deleted at admin's or by me at our discretion, or violation of FTE guidelines.


Okay with that said,
nothing much has changed with how things have been going in our chapter.
Please , it is in every members interest to inform newcomer's of the guidelines. Admin does keep an eye on this type of activity, so lets not attract un-warranted attention to ourselves.

Just a heads up guy's
I will be starting a buy/sell thread that all these types of posts will be posted in, this is be done to keep all the chapters uniforum and from looking like a swap meet, even though our chapter does not have too much a problem with it, but admin wants this done with all chapters, and about every three months a new thread will be started to keep it fresh .

any thoughts or comments guy's?
