I have a 96 F150 5.8 with a highflow 2nd cat and no muffler Y off to duals..It still isnt very loud so what if I replace both cats with a single dual inlet/single outlet highflow? I dont want it to be to loud though.. Anyone ran this setup?
Even just having one cat, it's still pretty quiet. I imagine it would still be louder than two cats though. Better make sure your truck will run right with only one cat.
The design of the cat's themselves hampers sound extremely. High flow will retain your power, but it still destroys the sound pulses. For sound, you cna't have cats. For power...you can have high flow's and only lose a few hp.
