wheel bolt pattern

Basically, I just want to know what I can replace the wheels with. They are not stock wheels..they are a cheap old set of chrome Craigers. They are too wide for the truck in my opinion. It is a SOB to keep on the road.
I have been told stock rims for that year would be something like 9.50 x 16...true? Either way I am looking for a narrower wheel that I can mount a less agressive tire on. I would like to go to a 16" rim instead of the 16.5...

You can put 16" rims on it no problem, stock or aftermarket. The only rims to look out for are the Chevy rims, before 88 look the same, but have a smaller hub center hole. Ford and Dodge will trade back and forth. After 88 Chevy wheels have a negative offset, so can't be used. Any aftermarket 16 8 bolt will work. 245 75 r16's are right about the same height as 9.50 16.5"s

Well, I found a place online that sells the wagon wheels....I am concerned about a few things. #1...offset #2 Bore #3 Backside setting
I found a 16 x 8 with 8x6.5" hole pattern -
Offset is 12mm
Backside setting is 5.0
Bore is 5.15
I also found a 16 x 7 with 8x6.5" hole pattern -
Offset is 0mm
Backside setting is 4.0
Bore is 5.15
What is the difference and what are these values? I am guessing the bore is for the centercap.....offset is the distance from the middle of the tire location to the middle of the hub...positive offset pushes the tire outward, negative pushes the tire inward....backside setting, I have no idea...correct me if I am wrong!

Negatve offset is what moves the tire outward, not positive offset. I'm gonna assume they mean backspacing instead of backside setting, which is another way of describing the offset. But their values are a half inch off on both rims, so it might be the distance from the hub face to the outside of the back lip.
